Falabellas – the world’s small horse breed

Meet our falabellas, the smallest breed of horses. Besides the lovely Flamenca and Lovena, you may also get to meet Pampeano, the dark stallion of the herd, or handsome Bollin with his distinct hairdo. So how do our keepers get our falabellas looking their best? To find out, stop by the falabella stables for the daily grooming demonstration at 10am.

Meet the ponies

Ponies are small horses that are generally quite stout in build. While ponies can take the weight of an adult, the pony ride at Rainforest KidzWorld is open only to children no more than 1.2m in height. If you fit the bill, come on down for a chance to ride with Candy, our all-white pony; King, the oldest male in our collection; sweet Rosie; energetic Buddy or shy Belle.

Trotting in the mini pigs

Pigs are curious and love nothing more than rooting around and exploring their environment. Being highly intelligent, they tend to get bored easily. They enjoy manipulating objects but will switch off as soon as the initial novelty wears off – sometimes within an hour of being presented with a new toy! Contrary to popular belief that they are dirty, pigs are in fact rather fastidious about hygiene. The Gottingen mini pigs we have are known to disdain toys soiled by manure.

Befriend an Animal Buddy

Step into Buddy Barn, where you will be able to interact and befriend our rabbits through My Animal Buddy, a free programme for children 10 years and below that teaches about nature, wildlife and essential life skills. At Buddy Barn, you will meet rabbits like Mr Grey, Ronnie and Rosette, and their neighbours including the guinea pigs, hedgehogs and rats.

Goats Keeper Talk

Daily 11:30am & 3:30pm Goat Enclosure

Rainforest KidzWorld is the only place in the Zoo that you can get this close to our animal collection. Our friendly keepers are always around to keep you safe while you interact with the animals. Have a chat with them even as you make new animal friends, they’d love to share the passion they have for their animal charges with you.

Animal Friends presentation

Daily 1:30pm & 4:00pm Rainforest KidzWorld Amphitheatre

Meet Boy and Buddy the golden retrievers, Katie and George of the snow-white Japanese Spitz breed as well as Hope, a Singapore Special — the oldest dog on the presentation. Besides the dogs, you’ll also meet birds, mice and cats, many of them rescued and adopted. Prepare to be wowed by their intelligence and agility. Who knows, you might get the chance to join our animal friends on stage.

Do stay on when the presentation ends to give our doggy stars a pat on the head!

Keepr Talk at Buddy Barn

Hop by Buddy Barn to play with the rabbits in our central interaction area during session timings. You might also meet the other adorable residents of Buddy Barn: our hedgehogs, guinea pigs, rats and mice. Every so often, other animals like the ferrets and goats drop by for a guest appearance too! Visit often to buddy up with all our animals here.
