Curiosity Cove Welcomes its First Explorers to Step into an Indoor, Nature-inspired Playscape

21 November 2025
Curiosity Cove, Singapore’s largest indoor nature-inspired playscape, is officially open at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Families can now explore this exciting new space designed for children aged three to 12, where they can embark on an adventure through reimagined, nature-inspired environments. The playscape invites children to see the world through the eyes of wildlife, engaging them with a blend of tactile and digital play. True to the spirit of imaginative play and discovery, a group of enthusiastic children made a colourful and joyful entrance into Curiosity Cove, joined by Mandai Wildlife Group’s Chairman, Mr Piyush Gupta, along with representatives from Singapore Tourism Board and Temasek. Together, they celebrated the official launch of this new family-friendly indoor attraction.

“The opening of Curiosity Cove today marks a significant moment in our efforts to create more unique ways for families to connect with nature,” said Bennett Neo, Group CEO, Mandai Wildlife Group. “This playscape is all about sparking curiosity and encouraging hands-on discovery, allowing children to explore natural themes in ways that are both fun and educational. Curiosity Cove goes beyond just fun, encouraging a lasting interest in wildlife and nature from a young age. We’re excited to see how this space will inspire questions, imagination, and a sense of wonder about the natural world that will stay with children long after they leave.”

Complementing the family experience, specially curated learning journeys will be made available for pre-schools at Curiosity Cove from March 2026 as part of Mandai Wildlife Group’s ongoing efforts to engage and educate the younger generation. The tailored educational programmes include Curious Creatures: Who Lives Here?, which explores how body coverings help animals survive in different habitats or Curious Creatures: Who’s Chasing Who?, focusing on predator-prey relationships and animal movement, and the 2D1N Curious Creatures Camp, which engages little ones through storytelling, creature-themed games and a unique sleepover experience in Curiosity Cove. In addition to these facilitated programmes, complimentary resources for schools including an educator’s guide and Ranger Buddies virtual show, are available from today to reinforce fun and learning. For more information, please refer online. Ranger Buddies is an edutainment programme aimed at nurturing every child to become a future-ready and responsible global citizen through engaging experiences within and beyond the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. It enhances the fun at Curiosity Cove with upbeat dance sessions and add-on activities such as early entry with storytelling, and Ranger Buddies-themed birthday parties.

Curiosity Cove offers families an immersive, weather-proof space to play and learn together. Whether exploring the multi-sensory play zones, discovering and interacting with the animal-inspired features or creating stories inspired by nature, families can enjoy hours of imaginative fun while fostering an appreciation for the natural world.
