Minecraft Experience makes its Asia debut in Singapore at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve this April
Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue adds a dynamic indoor adventure to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, letting visitors combine wildlife exploration, immersive play, and family fun all in one visit. Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue blends large-scale immersive projections, theatrical sets, motion-tracking gameplay and experiential storytelling. Visitors will step into the Minecraft Forest and travel through recognisable biomes, gathering resources, and interacting with iconic Minecraft mobs. Each participant will be equipped with a unique “Orb of Interaction” that allows them to shape the world around them and influence the outcome of their adventure. Players can celebrate their heroic feat at the Minecraft Experience: Trading Post and take home a special keepsake to commemorate their victory. In addition, players can claim a highly sought-after in-game cape as a post-adventure reward for being part of the quest.
Michelle Choo, Vice President, Indoor Attractions & Experiences, Mandai Wildlife Group, said, “We are thrilled to host Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue as the first large-scale immersive travelling exhibition at Green Canvas. This is a milestone that showcases the versatility of our new purpose-built event space and adds an exciting new programming to our precinct’s growing line-up of unique experiences. Alongside recent openings like Exploria and more dining options in our public spaces, it gives visitors even more ways to explore, play and enjoy everything the Mandai Wildlife Reserve has to offer, making it a must-visit destination.”
Created by Montreal-based multimedia creative studio Supply + Demand, in close collaboration with Microsoft, Experience MOD and game developer Mojang Studios, Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue taps into the global success of Minecraft, the world’s best-selling video game, with over 300 million copies sold.
“Making our Asia debut in Singapore with Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue is an exciting milestone as we continue expanding the tour globally,” says Olivier Goulet, Founder and CEO of Supply + Demand and Co-Manager & Investor of Experience MOD. “In collaboration with Minecraft, we’ve created an experience that sits at the intersection of game design, immersive storytelling and advanced multimedia technology, transforming a beloved digital world into a real-life quest.”
