Updates to Mandai Park Holdings’ Board of Directors

Singapore, 8 December 2017 – Mandai Park Holdings (MPH) announced today updates to its Board of Directors in the second half of 2017. These include the appointment of Mr Tan Chuan-Jin as Deputy Chairman of the MPH Board with effect from 8 November 2017. Mr Tan is currently the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore.
 
Another recent addition to the MPH Board was Ms Chong Siak Ching, Chief Executive of National Gallery, who was appointed Board Director on 1 August 2017. Mr Tan and Ms Chong join 11 other Directors on the MPH Board, which is chaired by Mr S Dhanabalan.

MPH oversees the rejuvenation of Mandai and its development into an integrated nature and wildlife precinct which when completed, will feature five wildlife parks, a nature-themed indoor attraction, an eco-friendly resort and green public spaces1. MPH is also responsible for the business and strategic development of Wildlife Reserves Singapore, which operates the existing Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, River Safari and the Singapore Zoo.

1 The Mandai rejuvenation project involves the development of two new wildlife parks - a Rainforest Park and the new Bird Park, a nature-themed indoor attraction, eco-friendly resort and green public spaces.  These will join the existing Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and River Safari to form a new integrated nature and wildlife destination at Mandai.  Development works are currently underway, with progressive completion of the various milestones between 2020 to 2023.
