Wildlife Reserves Singapore is supporting the ‘Adopt, Don’t Shop’ movement with the inaugural Best Friends Adoption Day on 18 August 2018. Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) is helping furry residents of Singapore find their ‘home truly’ this National Day month, at the inaugural Best Friends Adoption Day. The event is organised by WRS in partnership with seven local animal welfare groups, AVA, and ACRES.
Hoping to encourage the public to adopt a pet instead of buying one, WRS will host the Best Friends Adoption Day on 18 August from 10am to 4pm at Safari Square, a venue just outside Singapore Zoo.
Members of the public are invited to attend and meet dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters that are looking for their forever homes. Participants can also expect a fun-filled day of animal presentations, musical performances, and other exciting activities.
Celebrity Paul Foster will emcee the day’s proceedings, and artistes Jack & Rai will perform in support of the cause.
