Sustainable Design

In early 2021, we were awarded the NParks Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) Platinum Certification for our three existing parks (Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and River Wonders).

 

The LEAF Certification is to celebrate good landscape design, construction and management of parks and development projects, with aim to encourage ecologically, climatically, and socially resilient parks and developments in Singapore’s urban landscape.

 

As of 2022, the Singapore Zoo, River Wonders and Night Safari are the only 3 private parks in Singapore that have received the Platinum certification.

We have attained Platinum LEAF (Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework) certifications for Singapore Zoo, River Wonders and Night Safari. Two developing projects - Penguin Cove at Bird Paradise and the eco-friendly resort – were accredited with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark (Platinum).

 

Of special note is our resort’s design, which won the Super Low Energy (SLE) award in recognition of its potential to reduce its annual energy consumption by 40% through best-in-class energy efficiency, the use of onsite renewable energy and innovative energy management strategies. Our resort is the first hotel in Singapore to attain this accreditation.
