Mandai Action For Wildlife Junior Programme (K1 & K2)
Mandai Action for Wildlife Junior Programme (K1 & K2)
The MAW Junior programme empowers children to protect native wildlife, engage their community, and find creative solutions to real-world wildlife issues—all while building social and emotional skills through key learning opportunities:
Connecting With Wildlife Experts
Tap on Mandai’s resources and expertise to support self-directed learning.
Immersion In Nature And Conservation
Students will explore an animal of their choice, uncover its real-life challenges, brainstorm solutions, and gain insights into conservation work.
Championing Wildlife, Engaging Communities
Opportunities to share native wildlife projects and proposed solutions to animal-wildlife issues with family, friends, and the community.
This programme also aligns with MOE’s Eco Stewardship programme, and preschools may consider joining the MAW Junior programme as part of Start Small Dream Big (SSDB).
Young learners may choose between two projects to work on:
Little-known Native Animals
Discover native animals, their importance, and explore how to raise awareness about them.
Negative Animal-human Interactions
How can we co-exist harmoniously in an urban setting?
They will then embark on the task of proposing solutions to the issue, guided by the programme structure below:

Facilitated Experience
30-minute facilitated segment during the aforementioned day of visiting.
Meet Our Zoo Educators
