Contrast this with the Andean cock-of-the-rock with its striking orange plumage and rounded crest – capturing the images of this stunning bird has to be the dream of every bird photographer!

Pay attention to the superb sounds emanating from our avian residents. Have fun tracing the songs and calls to their feathered owners.

Watch out for the song and dance routine of the green oropendola involving a low bow with wings splayed out accompanied by a sequence of complex notes.

In the late morning and afternoon, our birds tend to cluster in the shade to avoid the day’s heat. Look between the leafy branches to spot them.
