Spot Our Three Baby Orangutans

Orangutan Exhibit, Singapore Zoo

We’ve welcomed three baby orangutans, a heartening milestone for this critically endangered species and a proud moment in our ongoing conservation efforts.

Among them is Ayaan, a Sumatran orangutan born via a rare, carefully managed caesarean procedure — marking a significant milestone in orangutan care. He is joined by two Bornean babies, including Lestari — meaning “eternal” — symbolising hope for the future of her species.

To support nursing mum, Chomel, and allow her time to rest and bond with her babies, the orangutans will rotate between exhibits on different days:

  • Thu–Sun & PH: Ah Meng, Niuli, Chomel & babies
  • Mon–Wed: Charlie & Riau

As a nursing mother, Chomel may occasionally spend time off-exhibit with her babies.

Meet Singapore Zoo’s First‑Ever Sri Lankan Leopard Cubs

Wild Africa, Singapore Zoo

Meet Singapore Zoo’s first‑ever Sri Lankan leopard cubs — a rare and historic milestone for this threatened species.

The three cubs are often seen play‑fighting or curled up together, as mum Yala keeps a watchful eye over them.

Planning a visit to see our triplets? From 18 May 2026, mum and the cubs will be in the exhibit on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Visit on other days to meet the rest of our leopard family!

P.S. Our cubs run on their own schedule! If they're out of sight, they're most likely tucked away resting — the secret behind all that energy you might be lucky catch a glimpse of.

Say Hello to Sana, Our Newest Grevy’s Zebra Foal

Wild Africa, Singapore Zoo

Meet Sana, our Grevy's zebra foal — born on 2 December 2025 and her name means 'shining light'.

Still sticking close to Mum as she finds her footing, Sana has learned to “talk” with tiny soft whinnies, making her extra adorable to watch!

Meet Our Pango-pup!
